Abir Leheta was elected as Chairman and CEO of Egytrans, the leading national transport and logistics provider, in 2015, thereby becoming the first woman chair in the 45-year history of the company. Ghaith Bakir, Lead Regulatory Engineer in UL’s Building and Life Safety Technologies division provides regulatory support in the Middle East and North Africa regions. Working out of the UL office in Dubai, Ghaith provides technical expertise in regulations, codes, standards, and product installations related issues to assist regulatory authorities, consultants, manufacturers, designers, and contractors in resolving product acceptance and code compliance issues., Represents UL at AHJ and code development meetings by participating in code discussions and conducting technical presentations on code-related technical subjects, Plan conducts and supervises code and regulatory related projects of major magnitude and scope.
Prior to joining UL Ghaith worked as a project engineer for a leading producer and supplier of fire and life safety solutions. In that role, he managed projects across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) involving the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire protection equipment and systems. He also worked for a Dubai master developer as a fire engineer, assisting in developing and implementing fire safety management system frameworks, and evaluating compliance with national and international fire safety standards and best practices.

Grace has 25 years of global experience as an advisor, lead engineer, and program director. She has supported PMI as the Corporate and Government Relations Manager in the Middle East and founded her own firm, Align Management Solutions, in 2010.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, and a Master’s degree in Network & Telecommunications from the Télécom ParisTech. Grace is a certified PMP and PgMP, as well as a graduate of the 2013 PMI Leadership Institute Master Class.

Hoda is a highly experienced, creative and self-motivated executive; with nearly 25 years of experience in delivering innovation and driving business value for customers in their respective industries. She worked for leading multinational software companies including SAP, Oracle & Microsoft in regional and global capacities, where she lived and worked in three different continents (Europe, Asia and Africa), which gave her a well-rounded experience in dealing with different cultures, challenges and business models.
Hoda joined SAP in 2013 in the UAE where she held various positions before being promoted to the Head of BPI for Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa Region in Sept 2021; covering a wide market of 75 countries. Before that, Hoda was the Managing Director for SAP Egypt & Frontier countries since Feb 2018. In this current capacity, Hoda was responsible for SAP’s in country presence and growth strategy including driving sales, marketing and operations. This in addition to her role in leading global education and training platforms to expand the countries’ digital ecosystem and workforce. She was also the Chief Operating Officer for UAE & Oman at SAP winning the Top COO Award in EMEA South in 2017.
Given her impact in transforming SAP business in these countries, Forbes acknowledged her leadership by recognizing her as one of Forbes Top 50 Power Businesswomen for 2021 and one of Forbes Middle East Top 100 Most Influential Women for 2020 & 2018. He has been senior consultant, advisor and/or evaluator for several international institutions (European Commission, PRIMA Foundation, the Mediterranean Water Institute, FAO, UN-ESCWA, EU-GCC Clean Energy Technology Network, KAS-REMENA, Ocean Oasis, the Palestinian-Dutch Academic Cooperation Program on Water “PADUCO”, COMSTECH Scientific Advisory Council (COMSTECH-SAC), the EMME-CCI Task Force on Water Resources led by the Cyprus Institute, the International Desalination Association as member of its R&D committee and the European Desalination Society where he was elected as a board member).
He has been the R&D Director of the Middle East Desalination Research Center, Oman (2015-2020), in charge of research programs/ projects on sustainable desalination technologies, renewable energies for desalination, water-energy-food nexus, climate change, and science diplomacy. He launched the USD 700.000 Prize Oman Humanitarian Desalination Challenge with his colleagues in MEDRC on 2018 and took part of its judging committee panel as well as its parallel research pathway panel. He has been projects manager at the Euro-Mediterranean Information System on know-how in the Water sector (EMWIS), France (2004-2015). Earlier he was research at the Global Change Unit, University of Valencia (Spain), and he is still a Visiting researcher.

He demonstrated efficiency in diversifying the funding of his organizations through obtaining funds from the European Commission programs as a PI, coordinator and contributor (FP7, H2020, ENPI CBC Med, INCO MED, INCO NGOs, SMAP, LIFE, PRIMA, etc.) and from international donors such as GIZ, USAID, and national ones such as the research council of Oman, and also through CSRs from embassies and private companies (e.g., oil and gas companies, water & energy utilities, etc.).

In his most recent tenure, Mousa was the Sales Director at Crayon where he was responsible for running the company’s Sales and Business Development units in the Middle East and Africa. Prior to that, he held several leadership roles at IBM over a span of 13 years, with the most recent being the Executive Partner in IBM Services. In that capacity, he led the sales and business development organization, generating and managing their multi-hundred million services portfolio by positioning IBM to be digital reinvention partner of choice and helping customers set their digital strategy, reinvent their business processes, and modernize their core applications, securely on the cloud.

Holds an MBA, AUC, a Master of Science from Cairo University, Engineering, and a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Cairo University.
Sherif is the current Africa FM Chair, and he is a Co-Founder, former Vice Chair of EGYFMA, and also Sherif is a Global FM board member representing EGYFMA..

Sandra is a passionate environmentalist, architect, urbanist, researcher, and mentor who has lived and worked in the UAE for over 25 years. She is a Fellow of the RIBA, the Royal Society of Arts, and the Academy of Urbanism. She leads tangram’s award-winning MENA region studio who were recognised as the “2019 Architecture Firm of the Year” by the Middle East Economic Digest.
Sandra drives sustainable solutions across the practice and has received a multitude of accolades which include six sustainable design awards for five different projects over a period of just four years.
Over the decades, her work spans from delivering one of the last traditional built coral stone and Indian teak new build projects undertaken in the UAE at Sharjah’s Arts and Heritage Area in the 1990’s; the first green-roofed Government building in Dubai in the 2000’s; a state-of-the-art campus of support facilities for the Emirates Nuclear Energy Programme designed using the principles of traditional desert urbanism, in the 2015. And today, with tangrams expansion across North Africa, she is currently designing a nationwide Hospital of the Future Programme, connecting smarter, digitised, intelligent ecosystems within and across cities to deliver a network of “Hospitals without Walls”, that remodels and redefines healthcare delivery. Introducing a new digital identity that is accessible to all to supplement a reduced and peeled back cost, physical, carbon, water, and waste intensive building footprints, and by using AI and advanced technologies as an exponent of sustainability, offers digitised, patient centric care in virtual hospital facilities located in the Metaverse.
Regional Director of Operations for the MENA region with the International Code Council (ICC)
Mohamed Amer works as the Regional Director of Operations for the MENA region with the International Code Council (ICC). He runs ICC’s Dubai office by providing essential on-the-ground support to organizations involved in building safety in the region, including various stakeholders like AHJs, consultants, manufacturers, architects, etc... With over a decade in oil/gas, project management, and TIC industries, he leads ICC’s operations and business development aspects in the MENA through existing and new partners, to help deploy/lead/facilitate ICC’s service lines for new business offerings across its family of solutions spectrum.
He obtained his Masters degree in Engineering Systems Management and Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with Minor in Applied Mathematics and Computational Methods from the American University of Sharjah.Specialties:

Yasmin is an experienced sustainable facilities management professional with more than 15 years of experience in Facilities & Operations. As the Sustainability Director, Yasmin is now leading The American University in Cairo - Office of Sustainability. This position is concerned with addressing AUC's environmental challenges, including climate change, resource scarcity, pollution, and waste management. Among others, her area of expertise, Yasmin has vast experience in developing & writing technical reports, including the Carbon Footprint, and Sustainability Report, in addition to several international reports addressing SDGs. She developed AUC's COE "UNGC - Communication on Engagement," addressing the University's commitment to the UN's five main principles Human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
Yasmin Mansour is a certified Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) and has Facility Management Professional (FMP) credentials from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). Mansour received a Master's degree in Construction Management from the American University in Cairo.
Her core motivation is embedding "Sustainable development philosophy and culture in The American University of Cairo Context" to improve and facilitate AUC's institutional response to environmental challenges and promote more conscious decision-making. In carrying out these responsibilities, she always aims to improve the University's operations, strengthen its finances, and enhance its reputation as a sustainability leader in Cairo, Egypt, the Middle East, and North Africa. She always seeks to weave sustainability into the University's culture, mission, and activities, where Mansour succeeded in gaining international recognition for AUC sustainability efforts.
Yasmin Mansour has a leading role in community services & NGOs. She serves as a board member of the Egyptian Facility Management Association "EGFMA" and the Education & Training Committee Chair.
Yasmin was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. In 2002, Mansour graduated with high honors from Ain Shams University with a B.Sc. in Architecture Engineering, Urban & Planning department. Mansour is a master in English, French, and Arabic.
